Apartment rents in the Denver metro area have increased 2.5% in the past year. This is below the state’s average of 4.1%, however, there are certain areas that have increased rents massively. Rents in Arvada have increased 8.9% and in Thornton 8.7%. In Capitol Hills they have even increased 10% and in the popular Highlands, rents have gone up 7.9%. While rents in Lodo have only risen about 2%, it’s still the most expensive neighborhood in Denver with an average on $3,200/month for a 2-bedroom apartment.
