The new library will be located at 10055 Town Ridge Drive, east of the Lone Tree Arts Center and will replace the current library on Lone Tree Parkway.
The new library with be more than twice as big as the old one with 25,000 square feet and a two story design. It will provide plenty of civic places such as study, conference, and community rooms. It will also feature some great outdoor spaces, such the entry with a covered porch to enjoy a book outside.
Its interesting design should attract more book readers. The west side of the building, which will face the Lone Tree Arts Center, is designed with perforated metal screen structures that will create a solar veil.
Another great feature will be the drive-through book drop-off.
The library is expected to be completed in late February 2016.
